Assistant Manager- Living Well

This is a Fixed Term, Full Time vacancy that will close in {x} days at {xx:xx} BST.

We’re looking for an experienced and compassionate Assistant Manager, Living Well to provide day-to-day operational support across our Living Well and Tenancy Audit services. 

This is an important role for someone who can combine sound judgement with a person-centred approach, supporting colleagues to manage safeguarding, domestic abuse and complex customer cases safely and effectively. You’ll help maintain strong practice, coordinate resources and ensure customers receive joined-up support that enables them to live safely and well in their homes. 

 

Please note this role is a fixed-term contract ending 31st March 2028

 

What you’ll be doing

  • Providing visible day-to-day operational support to Living Well and Tenancy Audit colleagues, helping them progress complex cases safely and effectively.
  • Reviewing casework across safeguarding, domestic abuse and tenancy audits to support compliance, shared learning and improved practice.
  • Providing operational oversight, making informed decisions about case progression, resources and risk, and escalating concerns where necessary.
  • Planning duty officer cover and taking part in the duty rota to support the organisation’s safeguarding and domestic abuse responsibilities.
  • Preparing reports and contributing to multi-agency meetings, including strategy meetings, multidisciplinary meetings and MARAC.
  • Supporting legal escalations and coordinating Tenancy Audit visits, as well as providing management cover during periods of absence.

What we’re looking for

  • Experience reviewing casework, developing support plans and helping colleagues achieve positive outcomes for customers.
  • Experience supporting vulnerable customers and families with complex needs through effective, person-centred interventions.
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding, domestic abuse, homelessness, mental health, substance misuse and child protection.
  • Confidence managing complex cases, assessing risk and making balanced operational decisions.
  • Ability to build trusted relationships with partner agencies and coordinate effective multi-agency support.
  • Excellent communication, customer service and problem-solving skills, with the ability to support colleagues positively through change.
  • A CIH Level 4 qualification.

Additional information

  • The successful applicant will be required to complete a DBS check.
  • A driving licence and access to a car are required.
  • A flexible approach to working hours is expected to support the needs of the service.
