The Vacancy
Do you have a passion for solving problems, improving processes, and helping people embrace change? Wythenshawe Community Housing Group is looking for a Business Analyst to join our team on a permanent basis.
This role is offered on a hybrid basis, typically requiring a minimum of 2 days in the office per week.
As we have recently recruited for a Business Analyst position within the last 3 months, resubmissions of previously declined applications will not be accepted.
About the role
As a Business Analyst, you’ll work across a range of projects and improvement initiatives, partnering with colleagues at all levels of the organisation. You’ll use insight, data and stakeholder engagement to understand how things work today and help design how they could work better tomorrow.
From mapping processes and gathering requirements to supporting testing and implementation, you’ll play a key role in ensuring change is well understood, inclusive and delivers real value.
This role will be key in taking the lead on analysis for one of our upcoming transformation projects: the replacement of our finance system. This will involve working closely with the Finance team as well as wider stakeholders to understand current processes, define future ways of working, and shape the requirements for a modern, efficient solution. From early discovery through to delivery, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving this change, ensuring the solution meets business needs and delivers real value.
What you’ll be doing
Analysing current (“as is”) and future (“to be”) processes to identify opportunities for improvement, efficiency and consistency
Working with stakeholders to capture, prioritise and document business requirements
Facilitating workshops and conversations that bring people together and build shared understanding
Supporting transformation and digital projects by shaping solutions, acceptance criteria and test approaches
Contributing to the selection and implementation of digital tools that meet business needs
Championing continuous improvement and good business analysis practice across the organisation
What we’re looking for
You’ll bring a mix of analytical thinking, strong people skills and a practical, solutions-focused mindset, alongside:
Experience working as a Business Analyst, ideally within Digital, ICT or change environments
Confidence working with stakeholders at all levels, including facilitating workshops and challenging constructively
Experience mapping and improving complex processes
An understanding of project and programme delivery, including Agile ways of working
Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
A professional qualification (or working towards one), such as BCS, or equivalent experience
Desirable: Experience with ERP or finance system implementations
Desirable: Knowledge of core finance processes, such as General / Project Ledger, Accounts Payable & Receivable, Financial Reporting, and Fixed Assets
Application Deadline - Sunday 12th April
